April 1 may also just happen to be April Fool’s Day, but there’s no joke here. The Walking Dead’s Danai Gurira (Michonne) is scheduled to appear on tonight’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, and we couldn’t be more psyched for her solo late night talk show debut! Danai appeared on Conan with several of her of her TWD cast members in early February before the Season 4 midseason premiere, but tonight’s turn on Jimmy Kimmel marks her first major standalone appearance.
Danai will be on the show along with actor David Duchovny and tonight’s episode will also include some standup comedy from Pete Davidson. Since Season 4 of TWD ended less than 48 hours ago, we know Danai and Jimmy will have plenty to talk about. Her character may not have had the honor of biting a man’s neck and killing him (that honor belonged to Rick Grimes), but she witnessed it and that’s good enough for us. We doubt we’ll get any info on Season 5 just yet (to be fair, we don’t think the cast has even gotten their first script at this point) but hopefully Danai can give us a general tease of some kind or at least recall a funny on-set incident from the past year.
Regardless of what happens, we’re still psyched for Danai’s Kimmel debut! Her co-star Lauren Cohan (Maggie Greene) was on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson not once but twice last month and Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) has also had his fair share of late night appearances over the past few months.
