‘The Walking Dead’ showrunner Scott Gimple talks Season 5 and Season 6
It already seems like forever, but it’s only been three days into the seven month long wait for “The Walking Dead” to return with Season 5. On Wednesday, April 2, showrunner Scott Gimple talked to Yahoo! TV about the series. While no spoilers are revealed (it’s obviously too soon) he discussed Terminus and Season 6 of the walker apocalypse show. If you’re not caught up to “The Walking Dead,” though, spoilers are ahead.
We saw several train carts and could hear people inside asking for help, there were bones on the ground, a weird candle lit room, but what are Terminus’ intentions? When asked how soon fans will know Terminus’ overall plan, Gimple responds, “Extremely, extremely quickly.” That could easily mean that we will be getting a lot of answers in the first episode of Season 5. But of course, “The Walking Dead” tends to answer questions while laying several new mysteries at the same time.
“Yeah. I mean, the storyline, that was always the plan,” Gimple continues. “There are kind of plans…whereas we have a pretty good handle on Season 5, we have a fairly good handle on Season 6, too. It’s not a great deal of detail for Season 6, but a lot of general stuff for Season 6 is known.” It’s pretty exciting to know that Season 6 is already being planned out, this means fans have a couple of more years of Sunday nights to enjoy.
The Walking Dead” Season 5 premieres sometime in October on AMC. Filming starts in a few weeks, so make sure to like us on Facebook
